Common issues with dryer vents

These are some of the most common issues we find with dryer vents and can cause the issues of your dryer not working correctly.

Your dryer vent or dryer duct is a metal round pipe that takes the hot air and lint from your dryer to the outside of your home. Although your dryer’s lint screen should be cleaned every load, much of the lint still gets by into the vent ducting. If there is anything improper with your dryer vent, the lint can build up and start causing serious issues building up to a structure fire.

  6. Bad exit cover

  7. Connections not clamped correctly
